환경 바이오 에너지 연구실

연구실 소개

아주대학교 환경공학과 환경 바이오 에너지 연구실 (Biomaterials and Bioenergy Lab.)은 2014년 3월에 신설되어 환경에서 얻을 수 있는 다양한 Biomass에서부터 대사공학 및 미생물 공학 기술을 이용하여 Next Generation Bioenergy를 생산하고 있으며, 또한 Polyurethane을 비롯한 다양한 고분자 화합물을 친환경 소재인 Biomass로부터 생물학적, 화학적 촉매 및 공정을 통하여 합성하는 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.

장기적인 연구 방향은 자연계에 존재하는 다양한 미생물 및 효소를 이용하여 친환경 에너지 및 소재 (정말화학 물질, 고분자 물질 등)의 합성에 관한 연구를 진행하고자 합니다. 환경 문제 해결을 위한 화학적, 생물학적 연구, 바이오 에너지 및 소재에 관심이 있는 학부 인턴 및 대학원 진학을 희망하는 열정 있는 학생들은 언제든지 환영합니다.

연구분야

  • 바이오 에너지: 기본적인 바이오 에너지는 미생물 공학을 기본으로 하여 환경에서 얻을 수 있는 다양한 종류의 바이오 매스로부터 미생물 대사 공학 기술을 통해 친환경 바이오 연료를 생산하는 것을 목표로 합니다.
  • 유전자 클로닝 기술, 세포 배양 기술, 분석 기술 등 다양한 기초 분자 생물학 기술을 토대로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.
  • 바이오 소재: 현재 산업에 널리 사용되는 고분자 화합물을 대체할 수 있는 친환경 소재 개발을 진행중입니다. 화학적 합성 및 생전환 기술을 통하여 새로운 구조를 갖는 신규 화학 소재를 개발하고 기존의 소재의 물성을 개량하는 것을 연구 목표로 합니다. 화학 합성, 생변환 기술, 분석 기술을 토대로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.
